back to work
earthlings! how long has it been? it seems like ages ago when i last wrote about how i was going to northwest canada to study zinc radioisotopes. now that i am back and we are friends again, i should mention that that whole “zinc” thing was really a publicity stunt to keep my creditors off my scent. in reality, i traveled to indochina to study cadmium.
in the end: the cadmium that i wound up studying, indeed the cadmium that i risked-it-all-for, was revealed to be little more than low-grade niedermayrite, so you can imagine my extreme disappointment. on the plus side however, i had a blast touring burma, thailand, laos, and cambodia and was even able to capture a few decent two dimensional representations of what i saw (example: child labour). you can browse more pictures from my journey here.
i am ecstatic to be back and can’t wait to continue our daily discussions on my favourite brand of hair product (brylcreem) and my thoughts on cantaloupes (great ones are sublime, good ones are ok, average ones are horrid). though please bear with me—while i am back in the eastcoast, the rhythms of my well-toned body—indeed my very soul—remain in the east. thus, posting will be sporadic for the next week as i rev myself back up for the bitching fall that awaits us.
