the above image highlights the LESS THAN 4% of amazon.com cover page content that actually relates to books.
there was however some almost-book-related-content, viz.
- an ADVERTISEMENT for a watch that was featured in a MOVIE that was based on the TITLE of a SHORT STORY (a james bond thing).
- an ad for the kindle (an ebook reader). but it was for all the zany NEWSPAPERS that you can subscribe to on it. so that doesn’t really count.
- a list of “BESTSELLERS” which were not book bestsellers but the best selling toys in the toy department.
